Trope
Clean Forced Proximity Romance Books
The whole point of forced proximity is that nobody chose to be there. A snowed in cabin. A stranded road trip. A hotel that double booked the only available room. Clean forced proximity romance leans into the trope at full strength: when two people can't leave, the chemistry has to live in the space they share. A blanket. A conversation at 2 a.m.
Honestly, forced proximity is almost more of a building block than a full trope on its own. It usually shows up inside another story, not as the whole point. But it works because the entire reason you read romance is to watch two people be in the same room together, and forced proximity is the easiest way to make that happen.
It's all no spice, and closed door is the ceiling. Plenty of only one bed scenes done well, and the snowed in setup shows up more times than I can count. Read these for the slow burn that happens when there's nowhere else to go.
