Not a Fan

Not a Fan by Shelbey Kendall is a clean, no spice romcom about a bestselling murder mystery author and the fan-fiction writer who unexpectedly turns his fictional detective into a viral sensation. When Evan Michaels learns that Rachel Perry’s story has reimagined his main character in a way he absolutely did not approve of, he’s less than thrilled, until his publicist decides the buzz could be good for business and sends Rachel on his book tour. What starts as an awkward publicity arrangement quickly turns into weeks of forced proximity, sharp banter, and growing tension as both of them discover that the story they’re living may be very different from the one they planned. Readers who enjoy lighthearted romance with heartfelt moments, lovable tension, and lots of witty back-and-forth will likely enjoy this one. It’s a great pick for fans of clean romcoms, bookish settings, and stories that mix humor with emotional healing and sweet chemistry.
