Description
Professional hockey star James Northman finds himself in hot water after an embarrassing live television incident involving a chocolate bunny damages his public image. To repair his reputation, he returns to his small hometown of Gingerbread Grove and volunteers to help organize the town's first annual Easter Hop. That pairs him directly with Victoria Bell, a cheerful woman who spends most of the year working as an elf for a local Christmas charity. Victoria has to shift gears from holiday ribbons to pastel eggs, and working alongside a skeptical hometown athlete quickly complicates her plans.
The story is a quick, playful romantic comedy centered around spring festivities and easy banter. You get plenty of lighthearted small-town energy as the two work through their initial differences to pull off the big celebration. It is entirely clean, featuring a closed-door romance that tops out at sweet kisses and includes no profanity. Readers who love wholesome holiday romances, funny meet-cutes, and hockey players with soft spots will feel right at home with this one.
Is Hoppily Ever After spicy? Not enough ratings yet to say exactly. Every book on No Spice Books is clean or closed door.
