Setting
Clean Romance Books Set in Colorado
Colorado is the natural home of mountain romance. Ski towns, hiking trails, cabins, and little towns up at altitude that empty out every spring and fill right back up the second the snow comes.
What I love is how much the setting does on its own. Snow that strands exactly the right two people in the same lodge. A fireplace that always seems to be lit. Cell service that gives out at the most convenient possible moment. Half the trope work is done before the characters even speak, and clean romance writers know it.
Everything on this page is set somewhere in Colorado, and it's all no spice. You'll find Aspen and Telluride ski town stories, small mountain towns where the population doubles in winter, Denver contemporaries with the Rockies always in the background, and the occasional Estes Park cabin retreat. If you've ever loved the snowed in trope, start here.
