Clean Young Adult Romance Books
Clean YA romance is what most romance readers came in through. First crushes, first kisses, the first time someone really paid attention to you across a cafeteria. Those moments hit harder when you're seventeen, and good YA writers honor that scale.
I still read YA even as an adult, and I think more adults should. The high school setting is universal. Prom, friend groups, sports, all the things you lived through. There's something nostalgic about going back to that time on the page, even just for an afternoon.
Everything here is clean YA, written for younger readers and safe for adults too. The picks are appropriate for teen audiences without feeling thin or written down to anyone. Most stay closed door or don't reference anything explicit at all. Some of what's here: the contemporary YA romance set across one summer, the high school sweethearts who didn't realize that's what they were yet, the new kid at school setup done with real specificity, and a few coming of age stories where the romance is part of a bigger arc.
