Clean Workplace Romance Books

Workplace romance works because the stakes are real and the proximity is forced without anybody having to explain it.

No spice anywhere in here. Closed door if it even goes that far. The pull of the trope is the slow burn. Two people who shouldn't keep finding reasons to stay late, and at some point one of them realizes the office isn't actually why. Clean writers do workplace romance especially well because the chemistry has to play out in conference rooms and break room conversations, not bedrooms.

What you'll find here: the coworker she's secretly admired for two years, the boss and employee story that knows what's at stake and handles it well, the competitor at the next firm who's been impossible to beat and impossible to stop thinking about, plus a few hospital shift romances and one or two startup founder setups. The good ones make a conference room feel like the most charged place on earth.
