Description
Madeline Cullen is a young Chicago attorney whose life tilts off course when her Aunt Maddie dies and leaves her everything, including the cozy Printed Letter Bookshop in the small town of Winsome, Illinois. Madeline arrives planning to sell the struggling store, but long-buried family tensions, her shaky career, and the gentle pull of the shop itself start to change what she thinks she wants.
The story shifts between Madeline and the shop’s two employees, Janet and Claire, as they work together to rescue the business and mend their own lives and relationships. There is a light, clean romance thread and some PG-13 level content around divorce, an affair, and teens misbehaving, but nothing explicit. It’s worth picking up if you enjoy contemporary women’s fiction about friendship, forgiveness, and finding a fresh start in a small-town bookshop.
