Pages I'm Turning: July 2026
Just Shelved: Recent Reads
Summer Ever After by Kortney Keisel - This was such a cute summer read and such a fun start to the Falling for Summer series! I really loved the small beach town, the golf aspect, and the 4th of July scene! I plan to continue the series throughout the rest of the summer.
Content: Kissing only, no language.
Natural Hospital Birth: The Best of Both Worlds by Cynthia Gabriel - I would highly recommend this one if you are newly pregnant and planning an unmedicated birth in a hospital. It provided a great overview and lots of helpful information. I wish I would’ve read this one earlier in my pregnancy!
Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robin - I decided to soft DNF this one. I think it has a lot of good information and practices, but it just wasn’t something I was wanting to deep dive into right now.
Little Miss Goody Two Shoes by Shelbey Kendall - This second chance romance was right up my alley. I loved so many aspects of the story - small town, road trip to the big city, football, the Try Something You’ve Never Done list, and the theme of finding and living a life that is true to you.
Content: Kissing only, no language.
A Summer of Stars by Liana Cincotti - This celebrity, enemies to lovers, fake dating, dual POV romance following Luna, a pro tennis player, and Kieran, a Hollywood actor was so fun and perfect for summertime! I absolutely loved the tennis and movie scenes weaved throughout the story. Additionally, the writing flowed really well, and I found myself wanting to pick it up and read the next chapter. Plus, there was no third act conflict at the end which I found so refreshing!
Content: Closed door / fade to black spice, moderate language, LGTBQ side characters.
Ancient History Between Us by Kaitlyn Hill - This is a childhood friends to lovers, second chance, new adult romance set in Europe during the summer. It has a lot of similarities to Mamma Mia, as our FMC sets out to find her dad. Overall, a cute summery read, but I personally didn’t love it as much as I thought I would.
Content: No spice, mild language.
On My Nightstand: Current Reads
Beachy Keen by Kasey Stockton - This is the second book in the Falling for Summer series and has a billionaire! I am already having a lot of fun with this one!
Hypnobirthing by Marie Mongan - I am still working my way through this birth book which I think will be the last one I read! I like that it has lots of practical exercises and things to do to prepare for birth. I am planning to try out the Christian Hypnobirthing app soon to start preparing - let me know if you have used it and what you thought!
In the Queue: Upcoming Reads
Plotting Summer by Jess Heileman - This is the next book in the Falling for Summer series. My plan is to read this series to finish out the summer before switching to fall reads! I love that, when I read these multi-author series, I get to read new authors I haven’t picked up before!
The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding by Diane Wiessinger - As I get closer to the end of my pregnancy, I am switching from birth books to a few more postpartum focused books - including breastfeeding, postpartum nutrition, and newborn care. I am hoping to read one on each of these before baby boy comes! Let me know if you have any favorites on these topics!
What books have you just shelved, are on your nightstand, or are in the queue?
Thank you for reading No Spice Books!
More to come, friends!
