Description
College senior Daniella Maria, nicknamed Daisy, is ready to graduate and move forward with her life in New York City. Four years ago, she confessed her feelings to Levi, her childhood best friend, only to have her heart broken when he did not feel the same way. After years of silence, a chance encounter at a West Village bar brings Levi back into her life. He needs a favor and asks Daisy to play his pretend girlfriend for his sister's upcoming wedding. Daisy agrees, hoping to fix an old friendship, but she soon realizes that faking a relationship stirs up buried emotions.
The book reads like a cozy, early 2000s romantic comedy. It keeps the romance clean and sweet, focusing on emotional vulnerability, second chances, and personal growth rather than explicit scenes. Readers who love childhood friends reunited, fake dating, and gentle contemporary stories like those from Lynn Painter will find plenty to enjoy here.
Is Picking Daisies on Sundays spicy? Not enough ratings yet to say exactly. Every book on No Spice Books is clean or closed door.
